Lightning has been amazing people for thousands of years. The sheer power of a lightning strike, combined with the brightness and intensity of the flash that comes with it make it one of the most gorgeous natural phenomenon in existence. There are a few truly awe-inspiring huge Natural events I’ve experienced in my tenure as a living being on planet Earth—lightning like this, solar wind streaming across the pre-dawn sky, a huge meteor which grazed the atmosphere but missed the Earth, a fantastic storm as I piloted a small sailboat on Lake Superior, a triple rainbow on the plateau in Colorado…
