Full-Size Drivable Replicas of Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder: the Future is Now!
There’s a theory that science fiction books and movies shape the future meaning that they are creating objects of the future realia and once something similar is being invented in real life, people will know how these innovations should look and how they need to be named…
Thus, we already know how the vehicles from the future are going to work, sound and look like: they will be called “landspeeders” and look something like this:

“Landspeeder” was the name of a craft Star Wars Luke Skywalker was using to travel above a world’s surface.
And the future is actually starting now! The Landspeeder appealed to the public so much, that there appeared several full-scale running replicas in real life, and here are a few of them (none of them is yet able to hover aloft on a cushion of antigravity but they do look cool!):
