Hello Kitty: For Children or Adults?
September 15, 2009 by James Bent - No Comments
Could your child be playing with your ‘private’ Hello Kitty toys? Today, Hello Kitty has produced over 12,000 products. Personally, I’m unclear as to who Hello Kitty is trying to target. I always assumed Hello Kitty was made for children since the character is a large cartoon decked out in pink most of the time and always wearing a giant ribbon. There are car seats for babies that are Hello Kitty themed, Kites, Monopoly, rubber duckies and more. The list off children toys by Hello Kitty seems endless. I’m surprised because I recently noticed the toys for adults seems to have an even longer list. I find it disturbing that this giant friendly kitty cat markets rubber duckies for babies as well as rifles and nipple tassels for adults.
Here are some photos of just a few Hello Kitty products that are clearly meant for an older crowd
Hello Kitty Rifle

Hello Kitty Nipple Tassels

Hello Kitty Underwear For Men

Of course it’s perfectly normal for a grown woman at work to cover her desk in Hello Kitty

Paris Hilton Hello Kitty Dress

Katy Perry Tube Top
Katy Perry must have thought ” I want to look hot! I’m definitely wearing that Hello Kitty studded tube top.” I imagine that is a common thought among women her age.

Grown celebrities are spending tons of money on Hello Kitty jewelery and walking around in Hello Kitty tube tops and dresses. Can you imagine an average woman waltzing into work wearing a Hello Kitty dress. No, because that is ridiculous but Paris Hilton sure didn’t mind sporting the kitty outfit.
