Ahhhh, the casino! That magical place where you can congregate, spend lots of money, have some drinks and enjoy yourself. Way more fun than staring at Caesars online and less dangerous than sky-diving. Generally there aren’t too many visible crimes that occur within the casino walls except for the occasional card counting. The only place you’ll find shady behavior and outright murderous crimes is in the movies. Below I’ll list a few great casino movies that I’ve seen.

Casino Royale is an amazing James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig. This movie tries to get away from the typical gadgetry that occurs in the bond movies yet manages to be just as good. There’s amazing chase scenes, beautiful women, gambling and danger. James Bond travels to face off with a terrorist international loan shark while getting wrapped up in poison and murder. I won’t spoil the rest of the movie for you, but if you love James Bond then you’ll certainly love this.

Another great movie involving a casino is the movie “21”. This stars Kevin Spacey, Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth and Laurence Fishburne. An MIT professor, played by Kevin Spacey, attempts to make money by taking genius MIT students to Las Vegas, to partake in gambling and card counting. Eventually the casinos start to catch on and a whole hidden story unfolds. You won’t want to miss the twists, turns and excitement that this unique movie has to offer! It’ll probably make you want to go to Vegas and count cards…but it’s probably not a good idea. I highly suggest that you go out and rent these movies and enjoy your Saturday night in.
