You Are Beautiful: Amazing Street Art Project
September 28, 2009 by James Bent - 5 Comments

You Are Beautiful is a simple, powerful statement which is incorporated into the over absorption of mass media and lifestyles that are wrapped in consumer culture.
The intention behind this project is to reach beyond ourselves as individuals to make a difference by creating moments of positive self realization. We’re just attempting to make the world a little better.
The aim of this post is to attract more attention to the project by showcasing its most prominent installations:
Arizona

Chinatown, Philadelphia

Missoula, Montana

Chicago

New Orleans

Cups in a Fence Installation:
They put cups in a fence to spell out the phrase, and then they tracked the changes people made by rearranging the piece:
1. You are beautiful

2. You are bad

3. You are loved:

4. You are over

5. You are a fever

6. Disappointed

Another hipster stagnant “street art” project for the art sheep to drool over. This type of crap is overrated and no longer original in any sense of the word. Putting up inspirational phrases in weird places or on weird material is not original and frankly it’s f*****g stupid.

Why b***h? Whats the harm if it makes people feel a bit better?

Giving a positive message is never stupid. Whether or not it is art is debatable.
I opinion is that if someone wants to create it and call it art, then it is art.
